Group 7 completes the ‘Peace builder’s Workshop’!April 2010

Can you believe it??? Another Truce cohort has completed the ‘Peace Builder’s Workshop’, a 10 week programme that trains young people from Newham in conflict resolution, mediation and design and facilitation.

The training was facilitated by the ‘A-team’, consisting of Edward, Nana and our sparkly trainee Jasmine. They have done an amazing job, supported, encouraged and most importantly empowered the young participants on an individual level.

Cohort 7 was consisting of 20 young people who were absolutely brilliant, hardworking and very committed to the training. 17!!!, yes 17 have completed their portfolios for the OCN accreditation, making it the most successful bunch in terms of certification so far. Well done guys, like I’ve said, you are brilliant and you did work very hard.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the trainers and the G7 participants for being fantastic and very supportive of each other; it’s been great to watch you grow as a team and a group. I’m really looking forward to see you ( young people ) in action, it will be great to put those new skills into action and reach many more young people from our community.
